The two points that really stuck out in the above video are not ones that I intended but just came up organically which, one is the differentiation between whole food supplementation verses synthetic so-called nutrients. Secondly, I touch on why not to buy online. I really set out with the intention of this video to demonstrate two things and got sidetracked with the importance of not choosing chemical isolates (otherwise called synthetic) supplements that are ultimately depleting phytonutrients found only in whole foods.

I mentioned that three tablets equate to one normal size pill one may be accustomed to in OTC (over the counter) supplements. The smaller tablet size I referred to is purposeful as these are professional grade and are intended for the practitioner to instruct based on individual factors such as individual requirements, age, etc.
I will share with you a little trick about swallowing pills. It is difficult to swallow when tilting your head back so it is recommended to use a glass that has a wide opening so you can bring the class of water to your mouth rather than tilting your head thus constricting your esophagus (making swallowing more difficult than necessary).
FYI, if you are curious about all that I take, in addition to the ones in my two pillboxes, are probiotics and Lactic acid yeast wafers if I am not consistently consuming fermented foods. Lactic Acid Wafers balance the pH in the gut.

Before I delve into what I call everyone’s foundational supplement protocol, I would like to take some time to address the concept of supplementation.
Just one book for an example by Lorrie Medford called Why Do I Need Whole Food Supplements sites several studies where synthetic so-called nutrients such as vitamin B, C, and D do not provide the results that otherwise whole foods provided in side-by-side studies. Furthermore, minerals, in what I like to refer to as “rock form”, also do not prove to be as helpful in comparison to naturally derived forms of the nutrients. In fact, It is shown in some of the studies that the synthetic form of, whether it be a vitamin or a mineral, can actually be harmful and as much so as increasing the risk of cancer or causing sterility. This is known in the case of iron causing cancer, but it is also shown in the University of Alabama study showing the damage to DNA when synthetic chromium was implemented for the curbing cravings for sweets. Lorrie Medford‘s cited this study (page 79) with chromium in the naturally extracted form derived from yeast would be not only be safer but also provide the synergistic nutrients of the yeast. I use this example because many of the whole food supplements I recommend have a yeast base. Therapeutically, yeast wards off pathogenic fungus and other invaders and this immune supporting aspect is the additional benefit of whole food supplementation.
